BEtalks: Dialogues on the Built Environment is part of the Society’s public program series designed to address the broader issues of the built environment. The purpose of these programs is to serve as an educational platform that informs the community discussion about land use, development, urban planning, historic preservation, and sustainability. Within this framework, we invite you to join us for an evening-under-the-stars with case study presentations on the topic of ADAPTIVE REUSE. Presenters include architects Trip Bennett speaking on the La Jolla YMCA firehouse, David Marshall on The Headquarters downtown, James Brown on Bread & Salt in Barrio Logan, and others. The evening will include “visuals,” a curated selection of adaptive reuse projects from throughout San Diego presented on screen prior to the live program.
Join us on Sunday, October 15 on the front lawn of Wisteria Cottage. Bring low beach chairs or a blanket, and a picnic dinner. Complimentary beverages.
The lawn opens at 5:00pm and the program starts at 6:30pm.
